Numerical study on flue gas–liquid flow with side-entering mixing

Abstract In this article, the side-entry agitator commonly used in wet desulfurization absorption tower of a 300 MW thermal power unit was taken as research object, and gas–liquid two-phase flow field stirring tank numerically simulated by using two-fluid model based on Euler–Euler method. The vertical horizontal velocity distribution gas phase were studied. results showed that formed “fountain” circulating tank. high-speed region liquid mainly concentrated near mixing blade bottom banded region. range large changes fluid from to 2–3 m bottom. oxidizing air middle effect two phases stirred good, fully diffused. numerical study article has reference significance for in-depth understanding agitator.
